Riverland Youth Connect is a website created, developed & maintained by young people for young  people as part of the Online Community Youth Spaces project delivered and supported by the Australian Youth Affairs Coalition. The Online Community Youth Spaces project is  funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Youth Forum.

The Online Community Youth Spaces is a new project that aims to tap into the power of technology to connect young people by supporting young people (or groups of young people) to use their creativity to develop a website promoting youth involvement and positive images of young people in their local community. There were only 10 positions across Australia and we were the only group in South Australia to be successful!!

So what's our project? Our project is a website for young people in the Riverland, created by young people in the Riverland to connect, inspire & celebrate the absolutely AMAZING young people of the Riverland aged 12-30 - and yes that includes you....

So what does a website for young people in the Riverland need???

An up to date Calendar – What’s on (events like N Hanced, Wine & food Etc) & Opportunities (like grants/youth parliament/competitions etc)

Riverland Wish List - things we want/need in the Riverland and our plan to make it happen

In Profile – Spotlight on Inspirational/Cool Young People  - are you doing something cool : tell us about it by emailing info@riverlandyouthconnect.org.au

Your Voice – content by you (everyone) Articles, essays, artwork, sharing youtube videos etc

Twitter Fountain – feed of riverland related tweets (we also have a twitter account for Riverland Youth Connect use #riverlandSA to share, connect and stay up to date)

Discussion Forum/Boards on youth & other community issues or just a place to find bandmates & new friends

Places to go in the Riverland (Mccormick Centre, Chaffey theatre) and/or organizations/clubs to get involved with (RYT, Scouts, Sporting Groups Etc)

We've also created flickr, youtube, facebook and twitter accounts to get connected and share information in every way that we can.
